The Story Behind PillowFlow
Born from a taxi driver’s “Traffic Pillow” hack, PillowFlow reimagines thigh support with modern EVA and a soft silicone strap—reducing fatigue and improving posture for commuters, drivers, and frequent flyers.
How it started
Years ago, a taxi driver I knew battled constant pressure on his right leg during long shifts. His first fix was a wallet wedged by his thigh. Then came a handmade device he nicknamed the Traffic Pillow.
The idea was clever but the project faded around 2008–2009. I kept one prototype. I used it on trips. It wasn’t pretty—but it worked: it kept my leg aligned and less fatigued over long sits.
The revisit (2025)
This year, I decided to bring the concept back with a clean slate—modern materials, better ergonomics, and a design that could withstand daily use. That became PillowFlow: a purpose-built, sleek, durable support that secures in place and feels good for hours.
